Randy Gonzalez, a life-long resident of Stark County, where he began his career as a carpenter/cabinet maker.  In 1984 Randy went to work for Tom Harmon, Clerk of the Canton Municipal Court.  He served as Tom's Chief Deputy for 24 years and continues to serve in that capacity for Phil Giavasis, the current Clerk.
 
In 1987 Randy was elected Jackson Township Trustee, a position he held for 8 years.  During his tenure in office, he was the founding member and President of the Coalition of Large Ohio Urban Townships (C.L.O.U.T.).  Working with fellow Trustees, Randy was instrumental in creating one of the finest park systems in Ohio; a system that includes access to a walking track, a fishing pond, all types of athletic fields, pavilions, the Jackson branch of the Stark County Library, as well as adjoining the Jackson YMCA.  In 2000 Randy was appointed Fiscal Officer of Jackson Township.  He has been re-elected three times and currently holds this office.
 
Over the years, Randy has served the Stark County Democratic Party in many roles.  He has been a long time Precinct and Executive Committee member and has served as a Vice Chairman under former chairman Roy Gutierrez in addition to being Executive Vice Chairman under the former Chair, Johnnie Maier.  Randy has also managed and orchestrated many campaigns, formulated campaign strategies, and designed fund raising plans that have led to the successful elections of many of our great Democratic office holders.  From State Attorney General to a Township Trustee race and from County Commissioner to Judge, Randy has worked on them all.
 
Randy is married to Julie, who is also very active in the Party.  They have three adult children, Kelly, Kody, and Ross.  Kody is also very involved in the Stark County Democratic Party serving on the Executive Committee and current President of the Young Democrats.
